Complimentary Shuttle Buses

Complimentary shuttles will be available between the Heydar Aliyev International Airport and a selection of hotels as well as the Youth Accommodation between September 29 and October 2. This convenience will continue for the Congress venue too on 2-6 October with shuttles starting to operate from 06:30, so you will be able to get to the Baku Convention Complex from your hotel or Youth Accommodation, and vice versa, taking a bus with the relevant route for you. 

Remember to bring a proof of registration for the airport shuttles and travel easily with your badge for the rest of your stay once you obtain it at the Congress venue.

Getting Around in Baku

Buses, metro and taxis will help you navigate in Baku easily. Metro system of the city provides a convenient means while a wide range of bus routes are very useful to get around the city. Fares for metro rides are 0.40 AZN per ride, independent from the journey length. As for bus fares, they may change between 0.40-1.30 AZN depending on the bus route you choose. The payment for using metro and buses, both integrated within a single automated payment system through the use of a plastic card "BakıKart", that can be purchased and topped up at terminals located at metro stations and bus stops.

To reach your designated destination within Baku and its suburbs, you may also opt for a taxi selecting one of many user-friendly applications, enabled by both local and international companies, at affordable prices. Upon your arrival in Baku, you will be able to travel to the city centre by official Airport taxis, which may cost you around 18-23 EUR, depending on the location of your point of destination.
