Last Call to grab the chance to demonstrate your research findings at the IAC 2023

We would like to encourage space pioneers, space contributors, scientists, researchers, space experts and practitioners to present their research papers at a science competition to be held within the framework of the 74th International Astronautical Congress. Held under the theme "Global Challenges and Opportunities: Give Space a Chance”, the IAC 2023 will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan on 2-6 October 2023.

Space experts and researches from all over the world, including Azerbaijan, will have an opportunity to attend more than 180 technical workshops to discuss new developments in space science and exploration, space applications and operations, space technology, space infrastructure, space and society, and much more.

Submit your abstracts by the 28th of February and become a participant of this historical and fascinating event. The registration link is https://iafastro.directory/iac/account/login/ where the author should create account and upload an abstract according to guidelines.

Who can participate in the competition?

·      Full-time students

·      Young professionals (up to 35 years old)

·      Secondary or higher school teachers

·      Retired scientists, professors and teachers

·      STEM professionals

 

Abstract submission: 

•       Abstracts must be written in English and submitted in MS Word format.

•       Each author can submit several articles.

•       Abstract length should not exceed 400 words.

•       All your co-authors should be added at the time you submit your abstract using the online tool. Registration should be done by the main author.

 

The structure of the article should consist of the following:

•       All words in the title must be capitalized.

•       The introductory part should state the main objective of the scientific work.

•       Methodology section should indicate the methods used in the scientific work.

•       Results and conclusions should indicate findings of the scientific work and comments by author(s). Tables or drawings are not allowed in the abstract.

•       In the final part, it is desirable to express an opinion related to the article in one sentence.

 

Desirable topics:

•       Science and research - addresses all aspects of space life in human spaceflight, the development of technologies for exploring the solar system and the universe beyond, space medicine and biology, space debris and orbital sustainability

•       Applications and operations – On-going and future operational applications, including Earth observation, communication, navigation, human space endeavours and small satellites

•       Technology - Common technologies to space systems, including astrodynamics

Infrastructure – development of space systems engineering, space transportation system and ground infrastructure, future systems and safety

•       Space and society - Interaction of space with society, including education, policy and economics, history, space security and law

•       Innovations in space
